The 12 color seasons
Seasonal color analysis groups people by three qualities of their natural coloring: undertone, depth and clarity. Four families (Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter) split into twelve seasons, each named for the quality that leads.
Every season below has its palette with hex codes. No season is better than another, and every one appears across every skin tone.
Three qualities, twelve seasons
Undertone
The color under your skin’s surface: golden and peachy, or pink and rosy. It decides whether gold or silver, cream or bright white looks more natural on you.
Depth
How light or dark your coloring is overall, across hair, skin and eyes. Light seasons wear airy colors; deep seasons carry rich, dark ones.
Clarity
How clear or blended your coloring is. Bright seasons look lively in saturated colors; soft seasons look at home in muted, grayed ones.
Spring
Warm and clear. Spring colors are fresh and sunny, from peach to poppy red.
